CityLand Group Empowers Employees with Stroke Prevention Awareness
As part of our 2024 employee engagement initiatives, CityLand Group recently hosted the event “Health Day – Preventing Stroke Through Lifestyle Choices” on May 25, 2024, featuring guest speaker Ms. Diem Chi – CEO of Procoach.

Stroke remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide – and alarmingly, it is affecting younger individuals more than ever. With timely knowledge and first-aid response, lives can be saved, and recovery can be possible. That’s why CityLand’s HR Department organized this session to raise awareness among our team about how to detect, prevent, and respond effectively to stroke symptoms.

During the workshop, Ms. Diem Chi shared vital information about different types of strokes, risk factors including age, gender, family history, and chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and unhealthy lifestyles.
Our team learned to recognize early warning signs such as sudden vision problems, difficulty walking, dizziness, severe headaches, and numbness (especially on one side of the body). The expert emphasized the importance of the “golden window” – the first three hours after symptoms appear – in increasing the chance of survival and minimizing long-term damage.

The atmosphere became even more engaging as employees participated in simple physical exercises guided by the expert, helping demonstrate practical steps to reduce stroke risks. Attendees also received in-depth explanations and answers to questions around stroke awareness, first-response protocols, and long-term prevention strategies. The key message: “Prevention is better than cure”, through healthier living, regular exercise, and early recognition of symptoms.
In addition to the valuable insights, participants were also gifted a free stroke screening package from Procoach, including Korean vascular imaging, ECG tests, and spine health checks.
“Healthy Day” is a meaningful initiative that helps raise awareness of the importance of health and equips CityLand employees with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively prevent strokes.

By organizing regular, practical activities like “Healthy Day,” we empower our team to better understand their overall health, make informed lifestyle and nutrition choices, and ultimately enhance their well-being while contributing to the company’s sustainable growth.
