HOA BINH SQUARE VIBRANTLY CELEBRATES “VIETNAMESE ETHNIC CULTURE DAY – APRIL 19” IN 2023

On the afternoon of April 15, the People’s Committee of Go Vap District, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, mass organizations, People’s Committees of 16 wards, and units in Emulation Cluster III of the HCMC Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs (including Go Vap, Binh Tan, Tan Phu, District 7, and District 12), organized activities to celebrate “Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day – April 19” in 2023 at Hoa Binh Square (CityLand Park Hills Residential Area).
Participants included: Lam Thi Ngoc Hoa, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union. Tran Thi Thanh Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the District Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Department. Dao Thi My Thu, District Party Committee Member, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Go Vap District. Tran Thanh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district. Representatives of the HCMC Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs. Leaders of the units in Emulation Cluster III of the HCMC Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs. CITYLAND GROUP was honored to be the venue sponsor for this meaningful event.

The Event Takes Place at the Hoa Binh Square Promenade

Held right in the vibrant setting of Hoa Binh Square, the program welcomed delegates, ethnic communities, and local residents to participate in a wide range of meaningful activities. These included a culinary competition featuring signature dishes from various ethnic groups, a traditional bamboo dance contest, folk games, a national costume showcase, and cultural performances presented by units from Emulation Cluster III of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs. Through these festive and immersive experiences, the event successfully recreated the cultural atmosphere and traditional festivals of Vietnam’s ethnic communities — helping to promote and honor their rich heritage and values while enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people.

At the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Go Vap District People’s Committee, Ms. Dao Thi My Thu, emphasized that organizing a variety of activities in response to “Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day” has made a significant contribution to fostering patriotism, national pride, and a sense of responsibility in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic groups. These efforts also aim to enhance the material and spiritual lives of the people, improve education, and safeguard the rich and beautiful traditions of the diverse communities within the district.
