GRAND OPENING OF THE NEWEST HARMONY MUSICAL FOUNTAIN SQUARE IN HO CHI MINH CITY

On the afternoon of December 19, the Hòa Bình Musical Fountain Square was officially inaugurated.

Located at a prime location in the heart of Gò Vấp District, with a total area of over 15,000m², the square is not only a refreshing new public entertainment destination but also a vibrant cultural space in Ho Chi Minh City.

Designed by Takenaka – A Legacy of Over 400 Years

As one of Japan’s most prestigious architectural firms with a history spanning more than four centuries, Takenaka Corporation has crafted numerous iconic landmarks such as Abeno Harukas – currently the tallest building in Japan, the Tokyo Tower, the Suntory Museum of Art, major stadiums, and airports in Tokyo.

The Hòa Bình Musical Fountain Square, brought to life by the talented architects of Takenaka, is not only a source of pride for CityLand Park Hills residents but is also projected to become a new cultural icon in the Northern area of Saigon.

Hòa Bình Square is crafted with the meticulous attention to detail and precision typical of Japanese design, harmoniously blended with the refined aesthetics of Eastern culture. The design emphasizes a balanced proportion between water surfaces, greenery, flower gardens, and lawns—aiming to bring prosperity and positive energy to the residents of the community.

To mark the occasion of the square’s grand opening, on the afternoon of December 19, the project’s developer – CityLand Group – held an official inauguration ceremony right at the CityLand Park Hills complex. The event fulfilled expectations of a vibrant new recreational destination for residents and the city’s youth alike.

A Captivating Year-End Check-In Spot

Dubbed the “heart of the miniature European town”, Hòa Bình Square is the perfect highlight of the most prestigious model urban area in Northern Ho Chi Minh City. Spanning over 15,000 square meters with a capacity of up to 5,000 people, the square has been meticulously developed with integrated zones such as: a landscaped lake featuring the striking Black Horse statue, a musical fountain, play and entertainment areas, and green corridors.

The main attraction is undoubtedly the musical fountain, equipped with a dynamic system of color-changing LED lights and synchronized water jets. The central water column, shaped like a blooming flower, can reach heights of up to 30 meters, creating dazzling water and light displays that mesmerize every visitor.

The Musical Fountain Zone Draws Crowds of Locals and Visitors Alike

The grand opening marked a milestone: for the very first time in Northern Saigon, residents and visitors could experience a lively art spectacle with synchronized lights and music, set to iconic pieces such as Time to Say Goodbye, Victory, and Matsuri. From December 19, 2020 to January 19, 2021, Hòa Bình Square hosted musical fountain shows on weekdays at 7 PM and on weekends starting January 20, 2021.

Adding to the festive spirit, the Christmas atmosphere was in full swing at the square, making it one of the most popular check-in destinations for the youth during the holiday season.

More than just a venue for large-scale cultural and artistic events, Hòa Bình Square offers a warm, everyday charm—a place where communities connect. Elderly residents enjoy peaceful walks, parents bring their children to play and unwind, and groups of friends gather to chat or capture memorable moments together on special occasions.
