CITYLAND COORDINATES WITH GÒ VẤP DISTRICT POLICE TO ORGANIZE FIRE PREVENTION, RESCUE, AND EVACUATION DRILL 2023

To proactively and effectively respond to fire and explosion incidents at business premises, and to raise awareness of fire prevention and rescue operations, CityLand collaborated with Gò Vấp District Police to conduct a fire prevention and rescue drill. The purpose was to improve readiness and the ability of firefighting forces to respond promptly to emergency situations.

On the morning of June 9, 2023, CityLand and the Gò Vấp District Police jointly carried out a fire prevention and rescue drill. The event aimed to ensure close and efficient coordination between the Fire & Rescue Police Force of Gò Vấp District, CityLand’s internal firefighting team, and other relevant support units.

The drill was conducted at CityLand Tower.

Given the increasingly complex and unpredictable climate and weather conditions, accidents and incidents—especially fires and explosions—have been on the rise, causing serious damage to people and property. Fire prevention at corporate facilities has therefore received special attention from both the People’s Committee of Gò Vấp District and the District Police.

In recent years, CityLand’s leadership has paid close attention to fire prevention and firefighting activities, achieving positive results. The program was designed to equip staff with the necessary skills, procedures, and hands-on experience in fire response, including the proficient use of fire extinguishers and rescue equipment. It also aimed to raise individual awareness and responsibility for fire safety and emergency response in the workplace.

Fire prevention and rescue training has become an annual activity at CityLand

As a company that prioritizes employee training, CityLand ensured that staff members from the Group and its subsidiaries were trained in fire prevention procedures at the beginning of the event. The drill officially began at 10:30 AM with a simulated scenario: smoke was discovered rising from the 6th floor of the building, initially identified as being caused by an electrical short circuit. The on-site firefighting team guided all employees to evacuate safely and used available firefighting equipment to control the flames.

Immediately following, two fire trucks, one command vehicle, and dozens of firefighters from the Gò Vấp District Fire & Rescue Police, in coordination with Ward 5 Police and building security forces, were deployed to the scene to handle the incident. The drill was designed to assess the responsiveness of on-site firefighting personnel and the coordination capability among various units in managing large-scale fires. It also evaluated potential firefighting and rescue strategies for high-rise buildings.

The drill proceeded according to plan with the active collaboration of Gò Vấp District Fire & Rescue Police, Ward 5 Police, and CityLand employees working at the building. The event not only reflected CityLand Group’s commitment to fire safety but also gave employees a valuable opportunity to practice emergency procedures and reinforce fire safety awareness—especially during the dry, high-risk summer season.
