CITYLAND GROUP STAFF RAISES AWARENESS ON STROKE PREVENTION
Continuing the series of internal events for employees in 2024, on May 25, 2024, CityLand Group organized the program “Health Day – Preventing Stroke Risk Through Lifestyle” with the participation of expert Diễm Chi – CEO of Procoach.

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. This disease is becoming more common among younger people and has become a concern for everyone. However, with the right knowledge of first aid and emergency response, lives can be saved and recovery is possible. For that reason, the Human Resources Department of CityLand Group organized the “Health Day – Preventing Stroke Risk Through Lifestyle” program with the goal of providing useful information to help CityLand employees prevent and respond effectively to stroke situations.

Through the insightful exchanges and sharing by expert Diễm Chi, all participants had the opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of common types of stroke and risk factors, such as age, gender, family history, or existing health conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prior strokes, and unhealthy lifestyles.
CityLand staff listened as the expert explained the warning signs of stroke, which include: sudden visual disturbances in one or both eyes; sudden difficulty walking, dizziness, or loss of balance; sudden severe headache; and sudden numbness in the arms or legs, especially on one side of the body. In such cases, it is critical that the patient receives immediate first aid and is taken to the nearest medical facility, as stroke progresses rapidly and the chance of successful treatment is highest within the first “golden 3 hours.”

The atmosphere became even more engaging as the expert guided the audience through basic exercises to help prevent stroke. Numerous questions were addressed with thorough explanations, equipping participants with in-depth knowledge on stroke symptoms, early detection, and proper emergency responses—key to minimizing long-term damage and saving lives. The expert also emphasized the important message: “Prevention is better than cure,” highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, and regular physical activity. Early recognition of stroke symptoms plays a critical role in maximizing the window for treatment.
Additionally, attendees of the program had the opportunity to receive stroke screening gift packages from Procoach, including Korean vascular imaging technology, electrocardiogram tests, and spinal health assessments.
“Healthy Day” is a meaningful initiative that raises awareness of the importance of health and equips CityLand employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent strokes effectively.

Taking care of employee health is one of the major goals of CityLand Group.
Regularly organizing practical activities like the “Healthy Day” program helps employees better understand their overall health status, adjust their nutrition and lifestyle accordingly, and contribute to their personal well-being and the overall development of the company.
